I see many people reporting rejections from Cornell this morning and the offers were out yesterday. I have received neither. Does this mean I'm on the waitlist or they just forgot about me?

Yea, I don't know if it's the reason that very successful and very depressed students are more likely to report their results, but I feel like results have gone more bipolar, like the people above the threshold would have multiple offers more, and people below would have very poor results. I guess it might also have to do with the fact that people are applying to more "safety" programs (which is a lousy concept to me, cuz there's really nothing safe now), so they're getting more offers. Maybe one implication is that people on waiting lists would generally have a better chance of getting an offer in the end. Or at least I hope so!

Is it possible that the university has forgotten about my application? I have noticed that acceptances, rejections, and waitlists have been reported at American University, but I have not yet received any update in my portal.

At least two programs (WUSTL & Pitt) haven´t sent out rejections, I'm assuming soft rejection because it seems that all acceptances are already out

Got a call from Harvard, my cycle's over now. Best of luck to those still waiting-I have a couple visit days in March, but I'll be withdrawing from all but 3 departments to help the waitlists move along.

Are you the one who posted in the status update page about the call?

Some people (including me) posted questions- when did you receive your call? Which subfield did you apply to? And do you see the decision in your portal, or just got the call for now?

I'm CP, didn't post to the tracker yet. My portal isn't updated yet but it should be soon. I'm honestly a bit surprised, the cohort is allegedly going to be substantially smaller this year though.

I hope this means I still have a chance (I'm IR, and if the portal didn't update yet maybe they're still making calls). But I'm not optimistic

If I had to guess I'd say every call has gone out by now 😕 this ends my season but I'm not too disappointed as I got my top choice!

I'm still waiting to 4 universities (including Harvard), but I also got into my top choice. So even if this cycle ends with only this one acceptance for me, I'm still happy haha

at this point, I feel I want acceptances mainly as affirmation, not necessarily bc I intend to go there 😅

I haven't heard anything from Emory either, but I saw that some people reported rejections about 10 days ago.
