vodka Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Do you think, if a program/POI couldn't reach you by phone, they would try to contact by e-mail? I'm just asking because my phone passed on to the afterlife a week an a half ago, and I don't have the money to get a replacement with the same number. I'm just worried a program that might want me will try to call with congratuations and then dump me in the reject pile after never responding to thier messages...
lyonessrampant Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I would think they'd email you as well as try to call. If you're concerned, notify departments you applied to that your number has changed or that you don't have a phone number for the timebeing. Just email the grad secretary for your department to update your contact info. Good luck! Pleiades 1

aginath Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 The program may give informal notice via phone, but it's not nearly as likely as written notice via email and/or snail mail.
lemonpepper Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 You will receive an official offer letter or letter of admission. But update your phone info with grad secretaries, as others have said, just the same.
