dillonr1 Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Hey everyone, I was just wondering if a soon to be high school social studies teacher would be able to get a job at a local community college or regular university teaching intro to history (particularly U.S.). I will have a Masters of Arts in Teaching so a lot of my courses are in education, but will have taken some graduate level history courses. Thanks guys!
misterpat Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 I would think this would be tough, given the amount of people with History degrees who are facing a tough academic job market. But you never know.
rising_star Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Will you have at least 18 graduate hours in history?
TMP Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Ehh... maybe as an adjunct if you're lucky... PhD is really preferable these days.
