intapp001 Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 They are meeting first week of march to make decisions (I may have sent out a few emails last week :? ) (sorry that was in response to the GW question)
BigCheese Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I was told by the grad sec at Georgetown last week that most decisions would be coming out mid-march....I know some people have already heard but I don't think they are done yet. Thank goodness for that.. i was starting to freak out.. Georgetown and Johns Hopkins is my last hope...
spark25 Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 They are meeting first week of march to make decisions (I may have sent out a few emails last week :? ) (sorry that was in response to the GW question) Ah, that clarifies! Thanks once again for the info!

plisar Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 so i guess Harvard chickened out on us... They tend to report late in the day...
CAPoliSciPhD Posted February 23, 2009 Author Posted February 23, 2009 yep, you should call and ask where they're at and if it's postal or what! lol
GradHappy Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 CAPoliSciPhD and yinz_guys, have either of you heard anything back from Colorado?? I applied to the masters prom (thought I might have better chance of being accept if they compared my file to MA applicants instead of PhDs). expatbayern, any news from WashU? I'm waitlisted for funding
expatbayern Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 expatbayern, any news from WashU? I didn't apply to WUStL, just University of Washington (Seattle), where I was one of the ones who received a phone call but nothing official.
spark25 Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Got my e-mail from Notre Dame. DGS told me that more information will follow in the next couple of days. Visit day scheduled for March 19-22. PM if anyone wants further information.
guvmentkid Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Also in at ND -- informal email from DGS email arrived sometime in the last 30 minutes Field: American
rlayla Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 To the folks that got into Michigan -- what were your funding packages like? I just got my letter and it wasn't as good as I was expecting. 15 k for 5 years plus 3k for two summers, but they make you apply to outside sources 4th and 5th years. Did other people get the same thing?
swr22 Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I figured Brown was a bit out of my realm of possibility, and had never heard anything positive or negative about UMass. The only reason I contacted Northeastern is that, after getting rejected by my safety school (BC) and anticipating a rejection from MIT, if I don't get into BU, I may not have any other options (in Boston). Maybe others are in this situation, regardless of the relative prestige of the schools to which we applied. At what point do we just say, "Forget about it." How much have you just been applying to schools you like? And how much have you been emailing professors months in advance and asking about fit/research opportunities etc? So much about acceptance to places is building rapport....
CAPoliSciPhD Posted February 24, 2009 Author Posted February 24, 2009 So, are we thinking that ND is now done? Congrats guys.
lon-nol Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Hello people, Got an informal e-mail acceptance to McGill. PM me if you think i could help with any questions. Best of luck to all and congrats to the ND people.
