Does anyone have any publications under their belt before phd applications

They're icing on the cake but don't stress yourself out if you don't have any publications. Nobody expects someone with a BA degree to publish before entering a MA or PhD program.

I'm waiting to hear about an article I submitted, but I have already completed my MA.

I have some conference presentations, but no publications. I think I'm going to submit at the end of this semester/beginning of next. If you have one, great! If not, it is not expected (as someone already said). Don't stress.
