I've always heard it helps at Princeton if you're a Presbyterian, but maybe that's just what the rest of us say in our non-Presbyterian ressentiment.

Hmm. Are you referencing Princeton Seminary or the Department of Religion at Princeton University? I would think in the case of the latter, religious idenification would not have any bearing given the department's lack of connection to a specific religious tradition. I applied to the Department of Religion at Princeton. Have the rest of you applied to the Department of Religion at Princeton or to Princeton Seminary?
