alexreg Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Who has heard back from Columbia? I'm wondering what it means if you didn't receive a rejection today, since I know a couple went out to various people. I'm in exactly the same position. I noticed from the survey <http://thegradcafe.com/survey/index.php?q=computer+science&t=a> that many Columbia PhD rejections have laready been sent out. Let us hope that we are being strongly considered still! :-)
OH YEAH Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 (edited) Where the Princeton admits at? I'm again going to be going to (at least one of) the welcome dinners for the new recruits so I look forward to meeting you guys in person Speaking of dinners, I'm jealous of everyone who gets to pick schools. It is a lot of fun travelling place to place, meeting cool people and being wined and dined. Edited February 29, 2012 by OH YEAH
ten52145 Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 j3doucet and nineaxe, can you tell me what your profiles are? and when did you hear from Waterloo? I got an email from Waterloo around the end of January. I had received an email from a POI at the start of January. As for my profile, I had the highest GPA of my Faculty when I was applying, but I had no research experience. A professor from UofT informally told me that my references were great and my statement was well written. Also, just found out last week that I've been accepted to UofT. Funding is significantly less than Waterloo, so I'll be going to Waterloo.
