sietval Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 (edited) Is there any information on the Harvard MPA/ID admission rate out there? (It seems it's harder to get into than the general MPP degree..) Thanks Edited February 10, 2012 by sietval
Nexpresso Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Some stats here, although a bit dated http://isites.harvard.edu/fs/docs/icb.topic210038.files/DiversityCommitteeBriefingBook.pdf
maggieyyd Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 no matter how i calculate, my rate to be accepted is low....
Nexpresso Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Oh it wasn't there when I last posted! Guessed someone realized it was public... Let me check if I saved it somewhere!
Nexpresso Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Nexpresso.. log in require please. Thanks. So for 2007 MPA-ID class (atest available), there were 270 applicants for 77 spots, so roughly 28.5% acceptance rate,
Revolution Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 From what i've heard from friends at HKS, MPP is 20%, MPA is 25%, and MPA-ID is 15%.

ridofme Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 So for 2007 MPA-ID class (atest available), there were 270 applicants for 77 spots, so roughly 28.5% acceptance rate, If there were 77 spots and 270 applicants, that does not mean an acceptance rate of 28.5%, unless you're suggesting there is 100% yield! I think Princeton WWS has the highest yield because of its funding, and that is only around 70%. Even if you estimate a 70% yield for Harvard MPA-ID, which is probably too high, then that means that they would have to accept about 110 students to get a class of 77, which means an acceptance rate of about 40.7%.
MPAStudent Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 (edited) Last year UPenn's (Fels) acceptance rate was about 35% Source: http://www.fels.upenn.edu/sites/www.fels.upenn.edu/files/live_chat_link_sheet1.pdf Edited December 25, 2012 by MPAStudent
HumbleBee Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Anecdotally, the MPA/ID program is the hardest program to get into at HKS. It should be worth noting employers also know this so they usually have far better employment prospects...

CrappyCat Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Oxford- 6.7% Yikes! I think because the school announced that it would try to provide funding to all students, not to mention only 30 places were available for their first cohort...
Kaneisha Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 The information is a little outdated, but I blogged about the HKS acceptance rate and haven't been vehemently corrected by the school or anyone else (yet): http://kaneisha.com/admissions-statistics-for-harvard-kennedy-school-hks-ksg-mpp-mpa/
