Meeting with Professors During Campus Visits?

Any ideas on what to do when visiting professors? I have a 30 minute visit with one of them and, while he isn't precisely interested in my specific areas he is nonetheless in my field of systematic theology. My wife will be with me and I have already been admitted to the program; I just don't know what to do. Help?

Ask them any questions about the program that you are interested in. Feel free to ask them about placement post graduate school or other logistical questions. Often times these professors are also added so you can get a feeling for the depth of the program.

1) Don't take your wife to your meetings with professors.

2) Ask questions about the program. Course offerings, professional development opportunities (research, publishing, career workshops, co-authoring opportunities), funding for summer research/conference attendance/language study, etc.

3) If you're not that interested in the person's research, don't waste you time reading articles/books on it.

4) Ask about life in the area, what people do, cost of things, etc.
