I know there is a separate results page, but in the interest of culling all the information in one place, I thought it might be nice to post here when policy schools (MPP, MPA, PHd) start notifying.

So far, it looks like the following schools have started to contact candidates:

GWU--MPP--Acceptances only?

Georgetown--MPP

CMU--MPP

Brown--MPP

Brandeis Heller--MPP

I think last week we were mulling about whether NYU would be next? Did I forget any schools?

Indiana SPEA's MPA program has notified. And I saw a few notices for Cornell MPA, Syracuse MPA, and Minnesota MPP on the results page.

The CMU acceptance was for the early deadline. I imagine the Duke acceptance was as well. I believe both schools have yet to announce acceptances/rejections for the final deadline.

In addition, Syracuse has begun notifying individuals. However, they have rolling admissions.

Has Duke notified anyone about acceptances yet for the MPP program yet? It seems like only rejections are posted...

I would imagine the Duke results are from individuals who applied to the early deadline. It does not appear that Duke has begun announcing notifications for individuals who applied before the final deadline. I do imagine that notifications will be sent shortly.

I got word from SPEA (Indiana Bloomington) about a week after I sent my materials in in November. They promise a quick turnaround, though, so I expected that.

I applied to two other schools who, by the looks of this thread, have begun notifying. I've called them both and they said my applications are still in review. So either they are extremely on the fence about me and are waitlisting me without my knowledge or my rejection letter should be arriving any day now.

I question whether the Brandeis posting was real. They listed the date of 2/15/2009 as the date of acceptance by postal service. That was a Sunday and the following day was a federal holiday (no postal deliveries). They also listed the degree the way the directions explicitly tell you not to.

It's real...it's mine. I found out when I came home late Sunday night and opened my mail.

It's nice to have an option, but instead of alleviating anything, I'm finding I'm more and more anxious.

UMass Amherst (MPPA) changed my online status on February 16.

My best friend will be finishing this program this year. She loves it!

Thank you for clarifying.

I feel the same way! It seems to be a common theme, actually (there's a whole thread about this very topic in the "decisions, decisions" forum).

I've come to the realization that I will just be a nervous wreck until April 15, at which point I'll probably start worrying that I've made the wrong choice, etc.

It seems that some of these schools give very little time between notifying and the April 15 decision date. It's a bit frustrating because I would like to visit once I know... but if I only have a couple weeks to make plans, get time off work, buy plane tickets, etc, I'm not sure I'll be able to afford that.

And to continue with that, these programs seem to be notifying later this year than last. Seems only logical to push back the April 15 date, then, too... :D
