evolution786
I spoke to the UIUC grad office and she said that they've admitted less than 10 students so far. She hasn't heard anything about funding from the professors yet either. Traditionally, they admit many students right before their spring break (which is March 16th this year) but she's not sure if that'll happen this time. Just a heads up, it's going to be a long couple months

clavodeolor
Thanks a lot. I applied to PhD only, but due to I am new applying to U.S Universities I do not know if this step is defenitely an acceptance, what do you think? I think you have been definitely admitted. I sent an e-mail to Berkeley, and they told me that decisions are stil running. I was admitted to Stanford, but rejected from MIT and Caltech until now, but I want to go to Berkeley. I have also applied to UIUC. I will see what happens. I am from Peru and I hope to see you at Berkeley =). Kurt Soncco

swu011
Are you going to UCSD's open house this Wednesday? I'm actually an undergrad at UCSD so I know the program pretty well so I won't be attending the open house. You will probably find me in the computer lab on the 1st floor of the new structural engineering building if you want to chat.
