So the yield is 3? They are still accepting over 15% but not everyone takes the offer.

Yes, you are correct. I made a mistake and thought for some reason that was including the other programs, but now I realize they had their own set of stats for them on the website. So that isn't too bad of an acceptance rate compared to other schools.

There's an OSU admittance up on the survey now. I still haven't heard anything

I'm admitted on appstatus.osu.edu but have yet to receive notification of any kind. You may want to check the website

Has anyone had their status change on the UNC application page from submitted? I've seen that there a few decisions from UNC so far, and I'm wondering if they are similar to John Hopkins in that they switch from submitted to "In Review" when it has been sent to the admissions committee. I submitted my application in early December, so I would think that they should have gotten around to it by now but I can't be sure, and I don't want to email them. Thanks

OSU called and told me they nominated me for a fellowship, and also invited for a campus visit... but never mentioned an acceptance :(. And now with quite a few more UW acceptances I'm getting slightly more nervous. I guess I just need one '"yes" from somewhere, anywhere to calm down  and patiently wait lol.

They wouldn't nominate you if you weren't accepted. Check your appstatus.osu.edu page. I'm sure it says you're in.

Perhaps I will see you next fall at OSU!

I'm still waiting to hear about funding though.

I checked and it says "In Review", which is why I was confused. At least it's something :-), and the professor I talked to also mentioned TA-ship, so it's hopeful. I hope you get funding, OSU student :-).

I got into Ohio state too, nominated for fellowship.

Has everyone who got accepted at this point been nominated as well, or is it just a select number of people?

I was not nominated, but I was not expecting to since my GPA is a 3.56, and so is below the 3.6 cutoff.

Have you heard anything about other financial support? On my app center there is no information about funding.

I got an email from a professor.

It said that I was nominated for fellowship, and if I don't make it they will consider me for a TA.

Basically I wasn't guaranteed anything so I was wondering whether that fellowship nomination means I have an edge in getting at least a TAship.

I'm really surprised you didn't get in. Your profile sounds immaculate. I am frustrated by my lack of success so far, and prospects are growing dimmer by the day, because I was told I had a good profile and was assured by my professors that it would been competitive for a stats program. maybe the talent pool is especially deep this year.

Oh count me in. I've been obsessively refreshing the gradcafe result page and my email.... :|

Thanks for the kind words but my profile is far far from immaculate--no research experience, recommendations are mostly "did-well-in-class" type letters, international student etc.
