Has anyone heard back about Cognitive Psychology doctoral programs?  I saw a couple of people heard back, but not many.  I'm specifically wondering about Princeton and NYU.  I saw that some people were invited to interview?  Does that mean that others have received rejections/acceptance?

I've gotten interviews from Pitt, LSU, and Penn (which was followed by a rejection), but those are the only ones I've heard about. Glad to see a thread started for cog though.

Hey there. I applied to the cog program at NYU, haven't hear back yet. I'm not sure if they are still sending out interview invites... but I know they are having an interview weekend mid-Feb for social psych. Not sure if this the interview weekend for the whole psych department (including cog& percep) or not.

But I started this thread a while ago for people who applied to cognitive and behavioral neuro programs (like myself):

We don't have too many updates just yet (which I suppose is good news for those of us who haven't heard much yet)

Gotten a few (UCI, UChicago, USC, Stanford) interviews, but also got a rejection (directly emailed by my POI at Yale). Overall waiting to hear back from a majority of my schools. Also, have not heard back from NYU cognitive.

I have heard a few rejections (UCSD, Washington University in St. Louis, and Michigan), but still have 8 schools to hear from. Like most of you, I have yet to hear anything from NYU as well.

I got an offer from University of Illinois U-C (top choice, will probably be attending), interview then rejected from Ohio State (lack of fit).

I finally got tired of waiting around for NYU and sent them an email and got this reply: "you won't be admitted to the C&P program for next year. We got lots of great applications, but can only accept a dozen or so (out of 240!) and so tough decisions have to be made. Good luck with your other applications. I haven't officially signed rejections yet, so an official notification could take a while." I got that on January 17, so I'm thinking the decisions were made then. Hopefully you haven't-heards aren't in my boat, and perhaps are second-tier interests? I am pretty sure all interview notifications were sent a while ago, though.
