I haven't gotten that email and I applied to MGH...now I'm nervous....when did you get the email??

Literally 5 minutes ago.

Lol, glad I'm not the only one stalking my e-mail

So much stalking. I'm only a second-semester senior, what else do I have to do with my time? :P

omg. I saw the email from MGH, and my heart went up into my throat! Should I stay up until midnight and see what the decision is? Or get much needed sleep?

Looks like this will be a big week for MGH folks!

I have to say it... Every time I see someone's signature and they have had the benefit of multiple acceptances already, I look to see if they applied the same places I did. I have a small jump for joy when I don't see my remaining schools on their list... Because somehow I have convinced myself that I still have a chance if the aren't many applicants to the places in my list in TGC.

Friday should be a big day for UNCG and Western Carolina... Another week out for ECU and App State and probably USC... I will say, I have felt the LEAST stressed today than I have the past few weeks. TGC therapy must be working. ;-D

Just got the MGH email too...hoping it isn't bad news considering they called everyone they accepted last year! SO nervous now.

Anybody have any idea about when Teachers College lets us know??

Applied: SUNY Buffalo, UT, UVA, Emerson, BU, Syracuse, Columbia TC, NYU

Accepted: SUNY Buffalo, UT, UVA, Emerson, NYU

Interview: BU

Wait-listed:

Rejected:

It seems that TC starts notifying applicants around March 7th up until early April for both acceptions and rejections according to the results page so it might be a long month for us.

It might not happen right at midnight.  I think it's probably more likely to happen during the day tomorrow sometime.  But maybe I'm wrong...

i doubt it's bad news because nobody has received calls yet! they probably just realized that putting the info online is more efficient.

do we think the decision will be up at midnight?

Get some sleep! For some reason I doubt it will be up at midnight anyway, and you want to be well-rested to celebrate your acceptance!  ;)

This is as stressful as watching my status change from "awaiting program review" to "final review" to "decision made" and having to wait another 24 hours for a decision from UM-Twin Cities.

I love your positive attitude!! :) You're totally right, though, I should get the sleep! (and knowing my luck the decision probably won't be up at midnight anyway)

jmarti37, still no word from UNC-CH? I'm annoyed for you at this point!

Nope :(. I know that it's not an acceptance, so it's either waitlist or rejection. I've accepted it and moved on; I still have 4 more wonderful programs to hear from.

I won't be able to sleep so if it is up at midnight I'll post about it lol....trying to be neutral about the whole situation ( don't want to get my hopes up)...

That's a great attitude, and it's so true. Prestige isn't everything. I'm just annoyed out of principle -- stop stringing you along already!

Oh I know, especially since I submitted my app on 12/1/12. I am so ready to cross it off of my list.

Gawwwdddddd!!! I'm so incredibly nervous. With one rejection under my belt already I've got bad feelings but hoping for the best. Good luck to you!!

Don't be so sure. I, an older slp, am creeping on this site this year.  I was consumed by it last year for my daughter who was in the application process,  just as you all are now, but too busy with school to check this all out. She applied to 11 schools, many of the same you all list. She had some quick acceptances while others she heard from a couple, few and many days later than the first round acceptances. Then on April 1 (I think that was the day students needed to reply by), she got acceptances from all the others--except one waitlist, that, as far as I know, she never did hear from again.

Interestingly, she was offered scholarship money from a top program after initially being waitlisted. You never know how this is all going to go. If your stats are good --it's a lot of luck.

Relax and good luck. It's a great profession. I have never regretted it!

PS- I am surprised about the MGH notices by email. They called each person last year and from what I saw quite a few years before that...maybe somebody retired or left.

I hope no one is ticked about having a senior on the site. I learned a lot last year and was curious how it was going this year.

I've gotten two rejections and have had two interviews so thats why I'm so unsure as to what to expect...I still have many schools to hear from so that gives me hope for one acceptance, but the whole process is extremely stressful!

^You have a nice variety of schools. I work with students from Clarion and you also applied to my alma mater!

This is my second year applying, guess I just wanted to be safe with the amount of schools I applied to although, I'm not so sure if I'm so safe yet! What school did you go to?

If you haven't done so already, make sure all your applications are complete. A friend of daughter's did not get an acceptance last year. When she checked into it, some of her applications were never processed as they were incomplete. I hope she has better luck and is more diligent about checking early this year.

You are more than welcome to join in! Your daughter's story should bring hope to many of us currently waiting it out and/or waiting on the results of wait listed schools to get back with us. Stay calm everybody, we just have a few more weeks left!

I contacted every school very early on to make sure that they received everything. I have heard many stories about applications being incomplete and people were rejected because of it.
