I'm not sure how effective it was last year. I heard through the grapevine that there are roughly 370 applicants to the SLL program this year. I know it's going to be super competitive, I really hope I get in! They usually let in how many? 50 or 60 at first?! I see you also applied to UT Austin - I did too! That's where I went to undergrad. I'm starting to think they aren't doing it again this year because last year, the invitations came out the first week of February for an open house the first week of March. They can't push the open house back much further without it being after decisions rather than before, and they can't realistically expect to give people two weeks' notice to travel to Chicago. She sounded semi-annoyed that I called asking about decisions (whoops). but she said she doesn't really know when they'll be sent out exactly. she said maybe next week, maybe longer than that... not very helpful, but at least it's something! Tomorrow is going to be even worse, since it looks like they notified on the 14th last year!!! I don't know why it's gluing me to the computer so badly - I mostly applied to Northwestern "just to see" and I definitely don't have the stats to have a shot at any kind of funding that would allow me to afford it. I don't know if I'm being totally unrealistic though!!! I am also waiting on my last two schools! One is for sure sending decisions NEXT week, so this week I am obsessing over Northwestern!!!
