Strangely, I was not able to locate any dedicated topic on MSFS 2013 and therefore I have started this post, where we can share any info and more importantly express our anxiety on what lies ahead.

Anxiety is stamped all over Grad Cafe topics right now .... Good luck with your MSFS application! My first choice is SAIS though :)

I know its really pathetic..feels like I am in 10th grade again :(  I have applied in SAIS as well. Just don't like the way how all the results would be out so close to each other.

BTW... are you an Indian national or working in India?

I'm an Indian national, working in Delhi now but finished college in the US and worked in Washington DC after (still sort of affiliated with the institution...)

I'm an Indian national too and the reason why i asked because it was good to see someone in India aware of these programs. I am appalled by the lack of knowledge (in India) about schools like SAIS and IR/ Policy program in general. It seems everyone is so fixated on business school that anything different is considered inferior

anyhow I am a qualified lawyer in India and presently working as an in-house counsel in an energy company. I've also worked in DC (roughly for 6 months) , where I was doing some research/ advocacy work at FCC.

I see you have applied to some great schools . All the best  and who knows we may end up going to the same place

I got admissions notice to Georgetown's MA in Asian Studies at the SFS about a week ago including fellowship funding and an invitation to apply for FLAS. My guess is that decisions on other programs should be coming along shortly.

Congrats on ur admit. ..and yes MSFS is due on 15th March. Not sure whether they will release the whole admit list at once or in gradual manner...can someone please clarify?

I believe all decisions are released at once. Good luck!

I think the $$ is a huge factor too since grad schools are stingy about it....

Well that's both comforting and scary.  Best of luck to everyone here!  Hopefully we all get in.

Where did the march 15 notification date come from? Thanks!

That's historically been the date... It's a pretty accurate median date for DC-based International Affairs school decisions...

Actually last year lots of people got their decision while others waited... it was excruciating... there doesn't seem to be much of a formula to it, either...

There isn't an MSFS admissions blog out there to tantalize/torment, is there?

per a phone conversation with admissions, decisions should be out 'in the next couple of weeks'. Applications are still being reviewed as of today.

Well that is late compared to others..in the same latecomers league as HKS then I suppose...I can't wait to decide so they better get their act together!

After a rejection from fletcher.....the wait feels even worse! Good luck to everyone.

There is  an acceptance in the database....seems too early for that though.

SFS is my top choice, and I really want to go there. I hope we hear from them soon. I think they've been the least transparent about their decision dates.

I'm with you. I'm hoping it will be tomorrow or Friday. Best of luck!

Just received the following e-mail

"Dear MSFS Applicants,

Thank you for your interest in MSFS!  We know you are eagerly awaiting your decisions, and we plan to start releasing our first round of results this week.

If you don't hear from us this week, do not assume that means you haven't been admitted.  We will be rolling our decisions out from now through the end of this month.

Thank you in advance for your patience as we give all of your applications the careful review and double-checks they deserve.  We will be in touch with you all again over the next few weeks."
