Wait it is. But if they told you that you were the only person on the waitlist, then there is a very good chance you'll get in. Even the best programs have some of their admitted applicants reject them, which would clear a space for you.

for example: me. i would be elated if i found out the waitlist i'm on (for the only program i applied to) was just me.

The coordinator told me that. Maybe I'm the only left one in the waiting list and other applicants previously on the WL are now accepted. maybe....

Anyway, it is positive for me.

The odds of someone not rejecting the school between now and April 15th are probably pretty slim. I'd feel pretty confident if I were you!

I'm numero uno at UConn MS too. Unfortunately there are only a couple spots for acceptance so the chances are smaller than at big programs, but I'm confident that things will work out for me. (They have to! Agh!)
