I know. How many schools did you apply to? I applied to two. One deadline was Sept 25 and the other is today.

Unfortunately just UCF.. But I have a list of schools I'm applying to if this doesn't work out. All in FL and a few in Georgia and Alabama

Erack, me too! The results forum shows one person accepted, one rejected. I called to see if they could give me more info, but nope. They said that I would know for sure by the time registration ended in January. I couldn't believe it!

I'm out of field. I have a background in teaching, but no volunteering or classes in SLP yet. My scores are competitive, but I just wonder if the people they are accepting have lots of extras. They've updated their website with stats, if you haven't looked lately.

How competitive are the schools that y'all are applying to?

SeaCsd, It's my understanding that UTD is highly competitive. My GRE isnt stellar either and I have a friend that was accepted last year with a low GRE so don't get discouraged!

I checked out the stats, wishingwishing, and it looks like they only take a handful of students in the spring. I wonder how many apply. I'm checking galaxy daily hoping they'll update the status there.

I'm in UCF's range of scores and gpa.. But barely crossing my fingers

Erack, where are you checking these stats from? Just ASHA's EdFind or is there somewhere else too?

UTD posts the average accepted student stats and about how many they accept each semester. Is that what you were talking about earlier about updating stats? I didn't know ASHA had a site to check. I need to stop looking and distract myself

I hate waiting! But then if I get letters that I don't get in, then there's nothing to hope for anymore.

Registration at UT Dallas starts tomorrow. Really thought I would've had word by now, but like SeaCsd posted above, at least as long as there's no word, there's still hope.

I applied to UCF for Spring 2014...still waiting... The waiting is the hardest part right???

Finally got my rejection from UT dallas.  If you haven't gotten anything hopefully you have better news.  Good luck!

I got rejected from UT Dallas Nov. 1 also.

 

I wish I knew what made the difference between my UTD app making it to the waiting list Fall 13 and then the same app (with an improved GPA) getting denied for UTD Spring 14.

Sorry to hear about the rejections. It is hard to be denied something that we want, but it clears the way for something even better to come along!

If anyone is still waiting to hear from UCF I called this morning and they said that we *should* know by the end of November... I was hoping to get a more specific date since that is what someone on the results page posted in October...but no such luck.

I applied there as well! I actually was just recently accepted to UCF, Nazareth College and St. John's University. Does anyone have any opinions on these schools? Thanks!
