Now that the application's out...who is applying for next summer? Working on personal statement now for advanced Korean. Any advice from previous recipients is also quite welcome!

The acceptance rate is ghastly low! But I hope you get it! I applied for the Boren instead, which gave me a bit more flexibility in what I can do and just as intensive. You should look into it also. They give 8K for the summer.

I'm almost finished with my application for Beginner Korean for this upcoming summer. Working on my PhD applications for the Fall at the same time though, so I've got lots of stressful waiting to do over the next few months

Ah good to find another Korean applicant...and I'm happy they gave a 5 day extension. I've yet to submit..maybe later tonight!

Yes, I'm a semi-finalist for Urdu!  We should be hearing the results soon, although the semi-finalist system is a bit torturous. If I'm rejected at this point it will certainly be more disappointing.

I know...we definitely should hear this week. Considering how much Ive been obsessing this past month, Ill be realllllllly disappointed if I dont make it through. Good luck!

From what I've gleaned it will be the 25th at the latest. If any of you get word, let us sufferers know!
