I'm starting to wonder if there's anyone that doesn't suffer from imposter syndrome (I often hear adults asking what a real "insert their profession" would do, so at least we're in good company). If I came across someone totally confident in their successes and abilities, I'd wonder if that's overconfidence, haha, so there's really no winning. But congratulations! Penn state is really one of the best of the best. I'm really glad you got in! Best of luck to everyone else as well!
Melissa Jo Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Yes, the APA deadline is April 15th, and most schools (including FIT) abide by it. Melissa Jo, I'm guessing Dr. Fan. The email he sent me was a bit unclear about who I'd been matched with. Dr. Michel and Dr. Svyantek have both already taken students, though, so I assume Dr. Fan because he is all that's left. I guess it's possible they'd give Dr. Michel two students, though, since he's new (and who I named in my essay). And you? Dr. Fan as well, he called and even offered to help me decide between my other offers if Auburn wasn't an option for me because of the lack of funding. I thought it was sweet but kind of odd.

No news from BGSU.. they will probably not open up the next round of search:( I am getting mad......Why schools always put me in the wait list and keep me waiting... 整个人都不好了！ Hey guys if you get offers from better schools please decline the other offers, thanks! There's one person who posted their acceptance in the results section but it doesn't look like it belongs to any of you guys in this thread. Just curious to know since I've been waitlisted for a month and want to know if that person plans to accept their offer or if they are waiting for a reply from different school before they make a decision.

BeingThere Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 (edited) For Akron, Rice, and Colorado State: apparently there is another category of applicants other than accepted, waitlisted, or rejected. They have all informed me that my application is still being "considered" but some initial offers have gone out. Excited to meet you if you accept! I'll be accepting my offer very soon. I visited last week, and you should be excited. Their department is impressive... new psych building, tons of resources, and the sense of community is great. Thank you so much! I'm very happy to hear good things about your visit, tanneraustin, as I will probably be unable to visit due to distance. I know they've been interviewing for a while now, but I personally hadn't heard anything one way or the other so I emailed to get a status update and found out that I'm essentially waitlisted. Would love more info. if there's any to be had. Additionally, I've been accepted to Appalachian State (MA in IOHRM) and University of West Florida (MS), and waitlisted at IUPUI (MS). Anyone else apply to any of those programs / is considering them, have any views, info., or opinions on them? If so, I'm all ears. Oh and congrats to everyone who's received good news thus far!
