ck926 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 A former professor I have been a TA for has kindly agreed to write me a LOR. Since agreeing do so about a month ago, I have tried asking him twice through email when it would be convenient to drop off the pre-addressed envelopes. I have not heard from him and his office hours are by appointment only. I am beginning to freak out as several of the schools wanting these paper LORs have deadlines of December 1st. Would it be really rude to leave them in his mailbox with a note of thanks? Any input/advice would be much appreciated!
Loric Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Call him. And no, it's not rude - he agreed to do it. But you do need to speak to him to confirm he's still going to do it and knows about the deadline.
MsDarjeeling Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I don't think its rude, but I wouldn't leave them in the mailbox out of fear he may forget to check it. I'd slide them under his door.
Loric Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Find him and staple it to his forehead! Pol and Sigaba 2
danisj Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Agree with stapling to his forehead. I hope you got to him by now. Loric 1
