somanyphage Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Hello! So since my rejections keep rolling in, I started to look into Master's programs - guess my plan b will become a reality. Does anyone have any suggestions of Master's programs to look into for Microbiology/Virology? I am open to all suggestions!
knightrunner Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Wright State University might be an idea.
threading_the_neidl Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Don't automatically think that you have to go into academic programs. Getting a solid two years of lab experience will be just as useful for later admissions with the added bonus of being paid. ss2player, LAguy, astaroth27 and 1 other 4
0908 Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 If you are dead set on getting a masters, georgetown does have a masters in microbio. Tulane offers a masters in microbio as well.
knightrunner Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 A master program may not be a bad idea. It can be a potential GPA booster assuming undergrad grades are below 3.0 and it would definitely be worth it if it is thesis based.
IncretinEffect33 Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 If you're still looking, UW-Madison does a bacteriology MS program, and the application deadline is June 1st. Good luck with your KGI interview, I'm sure it'll be great!
