What is the fastest time you know - from application submit to decision?

Well the waiting is taking its toll and it made me wonder whether most people wait for weeks for a decision or are there some lucky peeps who say submitted their application on a Monday and got a decision on a Friday??  :o

My fastest was 20 days. I've heard of someone getting a call in 4 days, which is crazy. I also had to wait weeks for others though, so I think it just depends on the university and the schedules of the profs.

I was accepted by phone yesterday and submitted the application on February 1st, which was the deadline.

Submitted to UW-Seattle on the 14th, heard back on February 3rd. I dunno if I should feel impressed that they got to replying so quickly or insulted that the decision was so easy.

10 days, and my last recommender hadn't even submitted their letter yet.

Was the decision positive or negative?? From what I understand, except for the odd one, the faster results are for those who didnt make it... :( But if u did hear admit decision, I am like WOW and congrats! :D

The first (and so far only) response, I got 22 days after submitting the documents. The deadline is actually a long time from now (May 15th), but I submitted it on Jan 22nd. On Feb 13th, my application status on the application website showed a link where the decision was available. This link took me to a congratulations page stating that my application had been approved for admission.

I have not, however, received any notification by email or mail. I'm hoping this is actually a good thing because I know the assistantship appointments and scholarships are awarded in the March-April period. So I hope the fact that I have not received any email yet might mean that I am being considered for this.

I have not heard anything from the other programs, but then again, a lot of their deadlines are all still a ways away.

What programs are those that still have deadlines far away?

For International students

WPI has it for March 31st,

LSU has a May 15th deadline,

and NCSU has March 1st.

The financial aid deadlines for these programs are earlier, however, I don't know the dates.

These dates are what I wrote down when I was selecting unis, so these are probably specific for the Structural Engineering programs at each University. You should check with your specific program.
