Hey I'm a senior at a school in Baltimore, Maryland. My major is Biology with a concentration in cell and molecular biology. I had a hard time acclimating college and my GPA suffered. This is my last semester of my undergraduate career and I'm retaking some classes but my GPA is a 2.7. I am scheduled to take my GREs next week. I am currently interested in Immunology and Microbiology sciences. Are there any master or Phd programs that dont have GPA admission requirements above a 2.7 and still are taking applications? I have about a year and a half of research experience and have strong letter of reccomendations

I can't speak for all micro/immuno but this is pretty late in the application season to apply.  Most official offers will be given out shortly if they havent already (micro/immuno is an earlier field) and typically you will accept by 4/15 for the following fall.  Masters you may have more luck, but I applied for PhD so I am not so certain about the masters timeline.  I would strongly consider getting ready to do applications in fall of 2014 for admit into fall of 2015.  Best of luck.

In your position, I would honestly focus all my energy on applying for programs to be admitted for Spring/Fall 2015.  The grad school application process is already intense for the student who applies within the normal timeframe, so I can only imagine how it would be for you to apply now for Fall 2014.  Most programs have terminated their application submission period.  Those with rolling admissions are tricky because the earlier you apply, the higher your chance of being accepted.  You need all the help you can get!  Plus, you'll be able to dedicate much more time towards GRE prep and promoting yourself in your Personal Statement and admissions essays (esp. with your GPA).

Off the top of my head, UC Davis has a final deadline of March 1 and URI has a deadline of April 15.  However, you missed the UC Davis deadline for fellowships and the URI deadline for financial aid.

Some graduate programs have rolling admissions, but I cannot think of any off the top of my head.

If you want to go to graduate school ASAP, I would look into schools that have a Spring admissions cycle.  That should still give you plenty of time to create the best application, SoP, research schools/programs, retake the GRE if need be, etc.
