I searched and found a thread from last year about Skowhegan; people were getting notified in early April, so we probably have another month of waiting.

Did anyone submit video? I noticed the views on the work I sent them stopped going up last month...

Judging from last-year's forum, this is a bad sign, no?

anyone heard of acceptances or rejections yet?

(supposedly this is the week when people hear word)

I would really like to know as well.

I'm in a bind due to another opportunity that I need to make a decision about by Sunday. I get the suspicion based off Vimeo plays that I might have made it to a late round of decisions so any info on if they have even started e-mailing decisions would be a huge help.

Haven't received email yet as well. Judging from when the 2013 applicants received their notice, I think we can expect to hear from them by tomorrow-hopefully...

thanks guys.

yeah. i'm also in a bind of weighing different options - wish i'd hear of an acceptance/rejection so i can start committing to plans with certainty...

good luck to everyone who applied!

How old are most of you? I am thinking about applying to Skowhegan next year, but I will be 33 and wonder if that will be awkward in relation to the age of most of the participants. I know they accept anyone over 21, but... I sort of don't want to be one of two "old folks" at summercamp, and might try for something more like Yaddo, Bemis, MacDowell, etc.

No! I know people well over 30 who have gone to Skow--  and any case, you're never too old to do anything you want!  :)

I just came back from Skowhegan, and this year there was a very diverse age group. The oldest among us was 45, but it really didn't matter. Everyone got along so well with each other.
