Pavi Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 A professor who is not on the admissions committee wanted to talk to me on the phone since he is interested in my profile. But due to bad timing and him not putting my application on hold (or whatever), my application was rejected officially (by members of the committee). So, he said that he will talk to the admissions committee and try to reverse the decision. Have you ever come across a situation where this has happened? Was the decision overturned?
I am not sure yet Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 It's really hard to say. Of course there's always a chance, but as far as I know, the comitee has the final word. They may reconsider, giving that the professor has good reasons or is influential enough. Well, I hope this works out for you! =)
krishnalynn Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Usually no, when funding is distributed by the school.
