I'm waiting on both of those programs too, but for DrPH instead of PhD.

nope, so much for "by the end of the Jan at the latest"

Ha, I was hoping to hear something Friday, but don't want to be that overeager person emailing admissions right away.

Hi,

Has anyone heard something from Harvard DrPH? Interviews were suppose to happen from late January to early February.

Got accepted to UW epi yesterday! Now to begin the process of begging profs for money.

Still haven't heard anything from UNC. Have many people heard?

Hey All -

Got my rejection from Pitt (not a competitive applicant) which seems kind strange since I got interviews at Brown and Columbia.  I think for the record, I like the letters that say "many qualified applicants, really couldn't choose" rather than Pitt's which basically comes down to - "you kinda suck"

Any other thoughts?

Any body hear from UCLA yet? It's the only place I applied to.

It looks like Masters applicants are starting to hear decisions, as per the "results" page.

I just got my rejection from UCLA today. Here's where I applied:

Hopkins

Brown - Rejected

Columbia

UCLA - Rejected

Berkeley

Irvine

UCSD

Tulane

All for PhD in Epidemiology (infectious disease concentration). I'm finishing up my MPH at Berkeley now, so I'm waiting to hear from them. Irvine is my second choice. I haven't received any interview invitations yet, it seems like not all programs do them. The only school that mentioned anything about interviews on their website was Tulane, so it's been a little surprising seeing people post interviews!

Sorry about UCLA, KB8 - did they contact you via email?

It's the only school I applied to, so I'm paying close attention to what's going on with decisions on these boards. They seem to be one of the last schools releasing decisions. At the PhD level, I've only seen 2 or 3 posts and all have been rejections so far...

Yeah they sent me an automated email at 3AM PST to check my application for a decision letter. Not a good research fit for me, I just wanted to cast a wide net. Good luck!

@masgniw looks like UCLA is releasing acceptances too

I am seeing that on the results page now too...any day now!

Anyone hear anything from Yale Epi yet?

Columbia was interviewing 41 applicants via Skype over the last few days and plans on making decisions tomorrow.  They got 150+ applicants, they narrowed it down to 41 and I don't know how many they admit, but previously I had been told that they normally get 200 applicants, they admit 35 and about 8 actually enroll.

Anyone hear back from Michigan post-interview?? Professors I talked to said about two weeks, but it looks like people didn't hear last year until February 28th. I don't think I can wait that long!

Hi all!

Stumbled across this so thought I'd add...

Applied to Boston University epidemiology PhD and Harvard epidemiology ScD, no results yet but interviewed at BU Friday 2/13 (prospectives day). Results page here has a note that Harvard ScD isn't doing interviews so I'm hoping that's accurate.

Good luck, everybody!

My POI at Michigan said on February 3rd that it would take "a few weeks" for the epidemiology department to work through the details.

Also, I was accepted at University of Washington for PhD in Global Health (Feb 6th) and just got an interview for DrPH in International Health at Hopkins (Feb 15th). It's a big relief to get the first acceptance!

I applied to the metrics track at UW. There were seven people invited for interviews, and I think three received offers.

At Michigan, I counted about 30 people at Doctoral Program Day for epidemiology. One professor said they usually take 10-12 each year depending on funding.

I don't know much about the applicant pool for DrPH in International Health at Johns Hopkins. It's a phone interview, so I won't get to meet the other applicants.

I also applied to Berkeley and UNC, and I think they don't do interviews.

Congrats on your acceptance! That must feel really good, especially since GH is fully funded.

I've noticed rejections from UNC and Hopkins posted recently. Were the Hopkins rejections posted only by people who were interviewed? Or have non-interviewed people received official rejections as well? I haven't heard anything from either school, and I'm worried my application wasn't reviewed. Both applications use applyyourself, and I'm worried I messed something up.

As an aside, I was accepted at Emory last week, as well as UW, and interviewed at Columbia last week. Applied to Berkeley, Harvard, and Yale as well.

I was rejected by Hopkins and I didn't get an interview. Hope it helps :)

I've also heard nothing from UNC! So you're not the only one :-).

ETA: Also, congratulations on your acceptances! I was also accepted at UW. Getting really nervous about funding though...
