zodiacofpony Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 I submitted application for 2015 fall semester, ECE-Ms program And one of my recommenders said he sent recommendation email However, on my application status, the transaction status of his recommendation is still 'in progress' I don't know what to do in this status. Is it mean that recommendation is accepted?
Duns Eith Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 (edited) On my OSU application it says that it can take several days for a letter submitted to reflect on the app. Like, up to 5 days. I wouldn't worry, though, as the Adcomm will have a timestamp either way and they don't start the review (I imagine; I speculate) until some time after the deadline. The departments have to talk to one another. Edited January 16, 2015 by Turretin
zodiacofpony Posted January 16, 2015 Author Posted January 16, 2015 In my application status, the transanction status is 'In progress' about two weeks. Another recommendation letter's transaction status is 'submitted' . And this recommender said he sent it this morning. Would it be better to call graduation committee?
cafe_au_lait Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Talk to your professor and ask them to resubmit and make sure they get a confirmation. Sometimes the forms are poorly designed or the professor just messes up. Email the graduate coordinator and let them know about the technical difficulty. Ask if they can send the letter directly to the program via email if they can't get the technical difficulty resolved. Shouldn't be an issue but you should take care of this ASAP. Good luck!
FoggyAnhinga Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 I actually didn't use the online recommendation form for Ohio State - luckily the program I applied for at Ohio State allowed applicants' recommendation letter writers to email their letters directly to the graduate program coordinator (it sure made things a LOT easier for my recommenders!).
