chris564 Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Ugh I was told I would hear back by today, March 9th and heard absolutely nothing. I broke down a little bit and sent an email earlier inquiring but still nothing. I am going a little crazy to say the least.

Sujie Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Ok, so I am sick of waiting. I am thinking I will just accept the offer I already have. It is funded (covers 60% of tuition) . The POI is very interested in me and I like her research too. They offered me admission relatively quickly and I just feel like I am welcomed there. Unlike in other 4 schools that keep me waiting... maybe they are not that interested after all. What do you think? One of the schools suddenly felt theat my BS degree is no trustworthy, and that happened post-interview...Iwould expect them to check my undergraduate school before contacting me for an interview; now it is obvious they are just prejudiced against graduates from certain universities.

Worry not, you have admission to a MA program with 60% funding which is great. . . go on living let the other schools do there thing, you have time until the deadline. Your prospective POI and school know students have options and need time to make decisions. I still wait patiently (haha) for my first admit .letmeinplz//, Sujie and thepinkdragon76 3
thepinkdragon76 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 I have no option but to wait and cry. I only applied to one school. Lol meanwhile I need to focus on moving into our new house and spending as much time with my husband before he leaves for grad school in California for 2 years.

I understand that; but the uncertainty is so stressful >…< I am really trying to stop myself from accepting the offer prematurely I hope you'll get you 1st admission soon!
acorps1315 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Carnegie Mellon is on SB and has been silent since last week. *sigh* No one has posted an update.
emicroali Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) For my top choice, I was told during the interview that everyone would find out one way or the other by mid March. They now just sent me an email saying that they were really impressed with me but they want to make sure the funding is available for me, and they will let me know by April 4th if there is a spot. Great. More waiting. I've checked and no one else that applied to this department has posted an acceptance.. So I don't know how many people they have offered a spot to yet. I've already been rejected from 2 schools, and it will be very frustrating to get rejected to my dream school after waiting this long. I had my interview the first week of january.. rebekahh Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I have an interview in a week and a half and the waiting and suspense for that and pending acceptance/rejection is killing meeeee! I'm having a hard time sleeping and I feel general anxiety when I'm not super busy. I'll know by the beginning of April... that's all I keep telling myself. Then I can figure things out... This is so lame. Waiting is not my forte.
DTY Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 One school I'm still waiting on has waitlists and rejections posted on the results survey, another two have nothing, and the last two have a few admits, but nothing else yet. THE WAITING!!! The joy of an admit took the edge off for a short while, but now I'm just ready to know, one way or the other, for all my remaining schools. SO READY to put waiting behind me and know for sure what I am doing in the fall.
