Well lot of people get to the interview. I would say 3 times as the number of open spots.

however I dont think 1k apply... I would say 400-500 -  so do the math.

I think Columbia gets about one thousand applicants a year, so it I wouldn't be surprised if Yale got that many.

yeah CAA fact sheet for 2014-2015 for yale was 1,008, so im going by the public record.

BICEO is right. It's pretty well documented that Yale gets about 1000 per year. Here's an excerpt from the CAA guide. The year before was something similar.

even if you get a fee waiver you have to go up and around the block to get it. For UCLA I had to prove I was practically living in a box to get my fee waiver.

No change on mine and I applied to photo. I'm not surprised and I don't think Yale would've been the right place for me anyway.

My account was updated with a rejection letter. 

I'm guessing if you've got the interview link that means you've got an interview to schedule. CONGRATS!
