Hi how's everybody doing here... I have been reading the threads in the forum, and I have found most of time I am in the same boat with most of you :) I am quite happy that I have got a couple of interviews for phd programs, but I am having a confusing thought in my head, and I am hoping maybe you would like to generously help me out here?

So I have finished several skype interviews with my POIs, and then several of them sent me a follow-up email saying that if I like, they can set up additional skype talks for me to get me a better sense of the program and their labs. I am wondering: is it ok if I don't ask for any additional interviews after the initial skype talk and just wait for the results? I don't feel like I have some specific questions about their programs or research, since they are all on the websites. But I am also worried that it might raise a red flag against me. Any suggestion? Thanks for reading this thread :) good luck to everyone

If you don't have any questions, then don't waste anyone's time by setting up additional Skype interviews. But, I'm honestly surprised that you've found a website which answers all the questions one could have about the program and specific labs. Typically, there's a lot of hidden information about how a problem actually works, how difficult coursework is, which supervisors are most demanding, etc.

I don't think you would set up the meeting unless you had any questions so I think you are safe there. Not having any additional questions at the moment is completely fine. I would just send a thank you email to the POI for their time and such. I don't think it would come across as a red flag.

Did you ask a few questions during the interview itself- to get to know the lab and the way the POI works and such? If so, you should be okay. Usually there are visiting days (for the program or can be arranged with POI) following an initial interview where you can get much more info if needed!

Congrats on the interview :)

If you want to continue a line of communication (just to keep yourself on their radar) you can google questions to ask grad advisors. See if any of the questions apply to your situation or even make you think of new questions to ask. I wouldn't ask something pointless that's clearly stated on their website, but I'm sure you'll find something you can ask. It's a nice way to remain in contact and show your interest in the program.
