Starting a thread for anyone awaiting a decision from the Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan. Anyone have any intel/guesses on a date for admissions decisions?

Posted

Ahhhh! I am still waiting. I received an email about two weeks ago, requesting my availability for a phone call with a current student as part of Ford's "fellowship routine process." When I spoke w the student last week, she said that applicants should receive final decisions the second week of March, and no later than the first few days into the third week.

I am so beyond nervous!

@CaliGab What was the conversation like? I'm also scheduled to have a phone conversation for the fellowship, and am curious about what kinds of questions they asked.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi all -- I was accepted today too with a full ride + living stipend and health insurance for two years. I had a similar phone call with a current student towards the end of February. Congratulations and good luck to everyone else!

maybe they're only letting full ride applicants know.

I was just notified that I got in with a half fellowship. I'm up for a full at NYU (let's hope I make the finals for it!), so it looks like there might still be some decisions to make, but it's great to know I'm in somewhere! I hope everyone else hears really soon! And if anyone turns down funding, then I totally want to know!

I want to note, for anyone who doesn't get full funding: the grad asstanceships look amazing. Full tuition, stipend, health care. So, if you get in, but you don't get funding, friends, don't lose heart!

Accepted this morning with Rackham Fellowship (tuition, fees, health/dental, and stipend) for both years! Still waiting on one other school, but I definitely plan on attending Spring Preview Weekend in April :)

Congratulations to all of you who have been accepted thus far!

I also heard this afternoon by email and received a half-tuition fellowship. I'm hoping this means Goldman will be releasing soon too... Congratulations to all who are in and good luck to all those left waiting!

I got in! 1/3rd tuition. They definitely were batching e-mails in order of descending funding amount, which was both comical and stressful since I kept hitting refresh on the forum.
