t.lamonty Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Hey, I am preparing now for passing my PhD, but I found out that I have got a huge lack of time and I can't make everything on my own on time. A friend of mine told me that I can use some help from the outside (services). I found one called phdstatementofpurpose.com and wanted to ask, if anybody used such services and, maybe, particular one. And it would be very useful for me to know whether it is a good idea to use such services? Thanks, in advance!
fuzzylogician Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Your question is whether it would be a good idea to use an external service to prepare your PhD application material (which I assume is what you mean by "passing [your] PhD"; I sincerely hope you don't mean anything to do with your actual PhD work)? No, I can't imagine it would be. You need to study for and pass the tests on your own, and no one can write the statement of purpose for you or find appropriate schools for you to apply to. It may be useful at some very late point to get help with editing and final touches, especially if you are not a native speaker, but this is way down the line and you'd still have to do the bulk of the work yourself before you get to that stage. eternallyephemeral 1

What do you mean by Passing your PhD? It seems like someone is just sending you a spammy link. rivergirl2, futureformba and sjoh197 1 2
fuzzylogician Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Yep, except the link doesn't actually lead anywhere, so I am at least hoping that this is a genuine (though confused) question.
