Does anyone know if they require GRE scores?

It depends on the program you are applying to.  Some require gre scores and some don't. Even within a program a concentration will require gre scores and the other won't. Carefully read the admission requirements for every program you are applying to.

8. Do I need to submit my Graduate Record Examination (GRE) results?

The Department of Anthropology, UofT, does not require GRE scores to be submitted with your application. These results will not be considered with your Master’s or Doctoral application.
