BU, UChicago, Carnegie Mellon, U Toronto, and Georgetown

Did anyone hear anything from BU, UChicago, Carnegie Mellon, U Toronto, or Georgetown? I've seen a bunch of posts on the results search about them, but not for Psych (except one rejection in Clinical Psych) from BU. I applied to the cognitive track in these unis.

One of the girls in my lab (applying for cognitive neuroscience -- mostly reading, dyslexia, neuroimaging) heard from CMU a couple weeks ago. Visiting weekend is next weekend.

Ha! I'm doing my MA thesis on dyslexia and I want to continue into neuroimaging. Guess I'm out!

I was invited to interview at Georgetown's psychology department in a couple of weekends-- but I applied to the Human Development and Public Policy track. I believe the interview weekend is for both tracks though.

Toronto apparently has the POIs invite potential students for the recruitment event.

So you don't really have a formal interview, but just need to wait for your POI to invite you.

If you haven't heard from BU I'm pretty sure that's bad news. As far as I know all invitations went out 1/25 or thereabout. I have word that they received ~700 apps this year!!

Otherwise, I think the programs you listed are still deciding.

Hmm...that's really too bad. The POI I wanted to work with at BU seemed really excited. But wow, 700? that's insane! lol. that seems to be the general "problem" everywhere...*sighs*

Out of the 3 interviews I got, I'm only letting myself be excited about one of them because the POI contacted me after the (phone) interview 3 times. After the other phone interviews I haven't received any news. I'm also holding out just a teensy bit of hope for a couple of schools that had jan 15 deadlines, so maybe they will contact me soonish?

Oh ok. I applied to the cognitive program...I wonder if they made their decisions there too...
