  1. I applied to work with a couple teachers in the Cognitive concentration. I just realized that on my application I indicated the two teacher I wanted to work with but I forgot to write "Cognitive" under concentration (oops). Anyway, I don't recall anyone mentioning they got an interview. On the website they don't mention that they interview people and I remember someone writing that Tufts doesn't do formal interviews.
  2. Hey, I applied to that program too. Do you know if they conducted interviews? Or does this subprogram not conduct them?
  3. I'm international, so things may be different for me but in response to your question: CUNY: I applied to Cognition, Brain & Behavior. I have not heard anything yet. Don't forget though, it's written on the website that they don't always conduct interviews. My friend applied last year and got in without an interview. He ended up going to a different uni though. Temple: had a formal phone interview in January. The POI said I'd be speaking to other faculty members "soon". Considering they were snowed in for 10 days and are probably under a whole load of stress, (and they haven't replied to an email I sent 2 weeks ago) I'm going to keep waiting on that one. Northeastern: I had an informal Skype interview with the POI in early January.
  4. I heard CMU Psych already had their interview weekend. I saw on the results search that interview weekend at UChicago is end of feb...
  5. I really hope so. I had an amazing interview at Notre Dame and the POI really wanted me and pushed. At the last second his funding got cut so I got rejected. I've lost hope in the system, lol. I know BU sent out CLINICAL interview stuff in late January. I applied to the biology brain and behavior thing. So I dunno what that means. I've essentially given up. If I get good news, great. If not, at least I'm mentally preparing myself to go to the states and repeat my MA and improve my chances for a PhD program
  6. I applied to CMU psych. Nothing yet, but I saw a post on the forum that interview weekend is end of feb, so I'm pretty much out I guess
  7. I worry about deadlines more. Like, if the deadline was Dec. 1 and you haven't heard from them yet...that's probably a bad thing (even if the school isn't top 50).
  8. I got an interview for the brain and cognition thing. But it was a phone interview cuz i'm international. I was supposed to speak to other profs but I haven't heard anything since like jan 20. i figure it's because they were snowed in at philly for like 10 days. so i'm still holding out hope... i emailed my POI 2 weeks ago with a little reminder but he didn't reply. gonna email again at the end of feb. cuz if i'm out, at least reply to my email, lol
  9. Argh, I think I'd rather not know for now. Let me get my first acceptance, then I'll email everyone else. I don't think I can handle anymore bad news, especially if it's self-inflicted.
  10. Yeah, I wouldn't email POIs about stuff like that because you have no idea how busy they are. I had a phone interview at Temple (because I'm international) and my POI said that he wanted me to speak to other profs. 2 weeks later I sent a friendly reminder and he didn't reply. So it's been a month total of me waiting just for him to SET UP another phone interview. I was about to get really angry but then I remembered that they are in Philadelphia which was snowed in for like 10 days. They are probably so over their heads with work right now I'm probably the least of their worries. Only email if they are supposed to get back to you but didn't.
  11. I guess we'll find out soon enough then
  12. Well, I've gotten 3 interviews so far (phone interviews). So I guess I'm semi-safe? Argh.
