psydd
Applied to CUNY's Cognition, Brain & Behavior program and have yet to hear anything. I spoke with the sub-program head about a month ago, and he said that realistically admission decisions should be made in late February or early March; in other words, right about now. Hoping to hear something soon. Edited February 24, 2010 by psydd

Thanks! I'm starting to get nervous... I'm international, so things may be different for me but in response to your question: CUNY: I applied to Cognition, Brain & Behavior. I have not heard anything yet. Don't forget though, it's written on the website that they don't always conduct interviews. My friend applied last year and got in without an interview. He ended up going to a different uni though. Temple: had a formal phone interview in January. The POI said I'd be speaking to other faculty members "soon". Considering they were snowed in for 10 days and are probably under a whole load of stress, (and they haven't replied to an email I sent 2 weeks ago) I'm going to keep waiting on that one. Northeastern: I had an informal Skype interview with the POI in early January. Crystalizedjade

A.K.
I think CUNY is by the second week of March, but not sure. I asked my POI for an approximate date, but I wasn't able to get a definite answer. The answer I got was we are looking over the applications now, so probably in a few weeks or so. My guess is by mid-March most schools probably make most of their decisions, even though the official deadline is April 1. psydd
Hey, I applied to that program too. Do you know if they conducted interviews? Or does this subprogram not conduct them? Pretty sure the sub-program interview will take place at Brooklyn College itself, but probably not until mid-March or so, like the poster above mentioned. If you look at the results page and search for the CUNY CBB sub-program, last year's admit wasn't notified of an interview invite until March 13th, and wasn't actually accepted until April 3rd. snootch
I broke down and called the Uconn grad psych department yesterday. The woman said she hasn't been given admission results yet, but that she "expects them soon." I also hear (through the grapevine) that a couple of the professors are a bit annoyed that the admissions haven't been sent out yet. To me that makes it sound like decisions are for the most part made already. Maybe there are a couple of professors holding it up?

I guess most state schools are taking longer than usual this year when making decisions because of the money crunch this year.
Wes
I just got an email from UMass Amherst asking me to speak with several faculty regarding research interests. They are definitely still reviewing applications. WashU I believe is done already, they already had their interviews
