University of Maryland MPP

Hello everyone!

I wanted to start a thread to see if there was anyone else here who applied to Maryland's MPP program. Also interested in what funding successful applicants received (including whether they have heard about the Robertson Fellowship), and whether you are considering attending (and why!)

Thanks!

Finally heard back and they're offering me full funding (split between granting me in-state tuition, a GA, and stipend), renewable for my 2nd year.  It's by far the most generous offer I've received.

Would anyone who knows care to elaborate on how Maryland SPP compares to the other main schools I'm considering: Duke-Sanford and American-SPA?  the money is pretty even across the board, considering living costs in DC vs. NC.

Have any of the finalists for the Robertson Fellowship heard back? I am slightly concerned with how close it is to the April 15th deadline to accept offers from schools. I'm assuming I did not receive it but also confused by the radio silence.

I haven't heard a decision from them at all. Is this normal? It's almost April 15th and I have to make a decision. Anyone else waiting on hearing from Maryland?

If you haven't already, you should definitely contact them.

They still haven't gotten back to me with a decision. My application was submitted with letters of recommendation and all test scores by mid-January. I have emailed them and not got a reply yet. The applications portal still says' Under Departmental Review'. I have not experienced this kind of unresponsiveness from any of the schools I have applied to. Well, I have made my decision to go elsewhere. Thanks but no thanks UMD. I wonder if I can ask for the 75$ of application fee back from them.
