gazelle Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 According to the results search, someone was notified today via email from the program director that they were accepted to the MPA program.
DCApplicant Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 What results search? At first I was confused too. The "results search" tab that is under thegradcafe.com logo. It's adjacent to the "forums" tab, which should be highlighted if you are reading this. I also read something in a broader discussion that some of these may be fake. we should see if people start rolling in with glee as they did in the GPPI discussion.

It looks like they were accepted to the MPA Environmental Policy program, not the International program, maybe that's why they received word early.
greendiplomat Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 It looks like they were accepted to the MPA Environmental Policy program, not the International program, maybe that's why they received word early. Very likely, considering that the MPA-ESP program has a early decision daedline: http://www.columbia.edu/cu/mpaenvironment/pages/admissions.html
gazelle Posted February 8, 2010 Author Posted February 8, 2010 Ahh, OK, sorry, my mistake. Let the groveling continue.
Hopster Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 yeah really can't wait... Any Fulbright applicants applying to SIPA as well?
ferro Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Yes I'm a Fulbright international student. I applied for the MPA in Development Practice from SIPA. I'd love to go there but there are only a few seats available in that program. It is my first choice. Are you an international student as well? Did you apply to the MIA?
gazelle Posted February 23, 2010 Author Posted February 23, 2010 (edited) Could hear as early as late next week, but likely the week after...definitely getting nervous now. Edited February 23, 2010 by gazelle

Yup French MIA applicant, already got a Fulbright interview, waiting for their reply... Judging by last year's posts, SIPA sends out the first decision on the 5th or 6th march. Very few even got their results as early as the 26th feb. If you're still waiting after that it's because either your file is going through additional rounds (last year's decision: 17th march) to receive funding or you got rejected...

ferro Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 I'm from South America. In my region Fulbright scholars are selected 1 year before. For this reason my fulbright scholarship for fall 2010 was confirmed in August 2009
