Deborah Nord called me at 2 PM Eastern. This time I cried. So did my mom when I called her. This is my dream school. I didn't think I could get in but I did and am still freaking out.

I didn't have much time to ask questions, sadly, so can anyone fill me in on when we find out more about funding (a slightly less thrilling matter)? And I know we can visit in March, but is there a specific weekend that people tend to pick, or has the department maybe set a date? Congrats to everyone!!

I was admitted to Princeton's Department of Comparative Literature and will be happily attending this fall. We're supposed to get a letter by snail mail containing funding information, I was told. Also, they don't do an admitted students' weekend, but there is an advanced grad student who should be contacting us about matching us with a host whenever we would like to come down. We're also to notify them when we want to visit so that they can make sure you can sit in on some seminars/talk to professors. Professor Nord also specified that their spring break is in mid-March, so it might not be a good idea to visit then! CONGRATS! We should chat

Today I received an e-mail from Professor Marina Brownlee (the DGS of Princeton Comp Lit), saying that the Department of Comparative Literature would be hosting admitted students on March 9th and 10th and providing travel stipends. Just in case you were wondering. However, I suspect that everyone looking at and writing on this thread is in English. Tant pis! At any rate, happy visiting!

I really hope I get in, too...I didn't really realize just HOW much I wanted to be there until I got so incredibly bummed when I didn't get an acceptance call. But this is a nice consolation! I'm not holding out too much hope for the wait list on this one, but it's something!! There is hope yet. By the way, that is SO awesome about your Princeton acceptance, and at Rutgers! I know you wanted that one. You are just knocking them out of the park this season! CONGRATULATIONS to those accepted! Amazing. And thanks to the rest of you for the kind words.
