Jay.B Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 I have tried taking them with my keyboard but my keyboard seems to be in a "freezing" phase. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and this is why i want to try out an app. Any screenshot app recommendations? I would really appreciate it because i am currently writing a number of papers.
Nocturnae Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 I have been using Lightshot for quite some time: https://app.prntscr.com
TakeruK Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 I use Grab.app which is a default app on macOS. If I want an image from a PDF, Adobe Reader's screenshot tool works pretty well too. I believe that while Grab.app doesn't allow you to scroll and continue the screenshot, Adobe Reader's tool does. So if you want a long column screenshot from a PDF, the screenshot tool is better. Lightshot looks like a great tool though!
dancedementia Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Skitch. They discontinued the app a couple years ago but you can still find downloads for it on the Internet.
lewin Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 (edited) Windows 7,8,10 has a built in snipping tool. I have it pinned to my taskbar and it works well enough for almost everything. ETA: It's literally called "snipping tool". Edited December 15, 2017 by lewin
01sonal Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 I gather you don't have a Mac, but in case anyone who comes across this thread does and isn't already aware, Command+Shift+4 allows you to screenshot a selection of your screen and Command+Shift+3 allows you to screenshot the whole screen.
