YAY!! So glad you got it. I'm a bit confused because its been over 3 weeks and I have gotten no word about orientation travel plans which is on June 28-30 for us Sub Saharan Africa people. Anyone have any ideas why?

Noooooo!! I was really rooting for you. I think Kenya is just really really uncertain, in all areas but especially grants. I know you'll do something great!!

Got a research grant to Ghana!!!

So sorry!!! After all this time waiting. I bet it was because of all that's going on in Kenya. My friend who got the Fulbright-Hays had to change her research site to Tanzania. Good luck and I'm sure something great is coming!

Did you find out?!

I'm certainly hoping we find out this week! I prefer Monday I have a lot of decisions to make that would depend on getting or not getting the Fulbright. On Wednesday we will be past the earliest notification date from previous years I believe... I took a hiatus from reading the forum for a couple days and it definitely helped my sanity haha. I think it's safe to say we will find out in the next 14 days!

I'm SSA too. Applying for research grant to Ghana. At this point I don't think I can handle waiting anymore. I'm driving myself crazy! I can't imagine waiting like this for another month! Is that how you all are feeling? I'm just going to pretend I didn't get it and try to move on with my life....

I just saw that the DDRA was announced today, due on April 28. Is this a lot earlier than recent years? I heard usually they give about a month's notice, and this is 2 months, so that's kind of nice. Is anyone planning to apply? Any past applicants with tips? Thanks!

Are there any current students or new admits on here to Michigan State? I'd love to ask you questions or if you are going there in the fall like me, maybe we can chat. Congrats to everyone who got offers this year!
