  1. I was accepted to Meridian, but will be declining.
  2. The only Master's of this kind I've heard of is in Barcelona. As I know, in most countries you listed, "Logopaedie" careers require the Bachelor's program.
  3. I did mostly CSDCAS schools, and they just counted it as a pass/no pass. I have enough courses outside that school for a solid GPA. But we had narrative evaluations, which are kind of great in that if you're a good student, your transcript is basically a series of recommendations from professors. This is actually the first time I've had any stress about it.
  4. My undergrad institution doesn't give grades - I'm pondering how to respond to this survey, awaiting a response from the office. Any ideas?
  5. I based my school choices on the WICHE/WRPG list, adding a couple other options that have low tuition costs and high admission rates. Eastern Washington and Idaho State, plus Portland State (hometown choice) and Minot State. Anybody else applying to these places? I know lots of folks base their school choices on reputation/prestige (which has to do with many preferences for east coast schools), but I feel like that just leads to crazy debt with no substantial advantage over others with a degree from lesser-known institutions.
  6. After talking to several admissions departments and department contacts, it seems like nobody takes the deadlines as seriously as CSDCAS would have you think. It seems that folks are fairly understanding of the fact that transcripts and LORs are, to some extent, out of our control. In my opinion, CSDCAS is a joke of an organization that gets its kicks from making things unnecessarily buggy. And that's why schools are increasingly opting out.
  7. When I figured this out two weeks ago, all my schools were orange, so I applied to a totally different list of schools. Luckily, verification took only a few days, even though I had 4 (rather complicated) transcripts to process. So there's still hope, especially if your deadlines are in February! I'm still fuming a bit, since the deadline isn't actually, you know, the deadline.
  8. Hi y'all! I'm a post-bacc student, just submitted my first four applications. Now I'm feeling super antsy about my lack of in-field experience. I've been bouncing around the world in between non-consecutive semesters, teaching English and doing the cultural-immersion thing. I've got a pretty solid GPA (3.88 or so I think?) and GRE V/Q/AW 166/157/4.5...but I'm worried my "intercultural experience" might not be as much an asset as I initially thought. Any input/ideas? How do people even get in-field experience if you're working or doing other life-sustaining things? I thought joining this site might answer some questions, but now I have so many more
