You can get loans if they are not for tuition - I do it every year, because my stipend affords not much but standing in the food line :wink: Stafford Subsidized are the best way to go, followed by Stafford unsubbed and Perkins.

Nope, mine was ranked 70-79th percentile and I got a limbo HM. Go figure. Maybe below 70 were rejected. I think it actually means not much, since my ratings were not bad.

I got several goods on my ratings sheets, nowhere near the "E" and "VG" count others with an HM got. But they loved the diversity of experience I had and my research experience, so it elevated my app to eligible. Jack of all trades kind of describes it, yes. If I were eligible to apply next year I would broaden my methodological information. But I'm happy with the HM.

I actually got an HM, this was the first year I applied and the last I was eligible. I am a second year, and in my exception essay I explained why I took time off between. The reason I got HM was not because I was a second year, but because my methodological portions need some polishing, and I agree with that assessment. So I was considered even though I was a second year with time off.

Got the rating sheets - a good/good, a good/excellent, and a very good/very good. Their comments are spot on, and they were actually extremely encouraging to me! I need to tighten up some of the theoretical/methodological aspects, but all in all, even the crabby old good/good reviewer called the research exciting. I am pleased with the sheets, although a little disappointed in the result.

Congrats to all the awardees, and to us HM folks too! This was the last year I could apply, so I'm out of the running next time, but please, all of you, if you didn't get this year, try again! I am relieved it's finally over.

They said they'd be up the day after the list went up. Right now it gives a 404 error when I tired to log in.

About six weeks.

This is the first time I've waited up through the website down. I just have convinced myself this is the night. Anyway, I don't have to get up early, so why not? Between playing mah jong and sporcle, I should be able to wait. I'm just afraid if I give up and go to bed, about 5 minutes later the list will come up.
