  1. I don't know if you're waitlisted or not? But I attended the Visitation Day and met two accepted students who were probably going to accept offers at other universities. That could possibly help you? I don't know anything else though, sorry
  2. Sell your first born...or apply for the Marshall or Rhodes Scholarships if you want to study in the UK.
  3. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who feels this way. I do have to admit though that the school that I got accepted to is basically an ideal fit for me. I guess that I should be thankful that I don't have to make any difficult decisions. I also have to constantly remind myself that everything happens for a reason.
  4. Sigh...denied from CUNY. I think for the most part my final decision is made. I've been accepted to one PhD program, which is great (please don't get me wrong)! But sometimes I worry it's a mistake, especially since I've been denied from every other school that I applied to....
  5. i just called the history department, and they said that the professors are meeting this friday to discuss final decisions and financial aid packages. apparently, we should be hearing back within the next 10 days!
  6. awesome! thanks for the heads up!
  7. does anyone know when students usually have to respond back to offers? is it typically april 15, or does it depend on the university/program? i'm asking for my UVA waitlisted, lurker friend...not me, I swear hahah (i was denied from there weeks ago haha)
  8. I'm still waiting for University of Iowa, CUNY, University of Toronto and UVM (which is a MA program). Let's just get this over with already!
  9. my good friend also just got waitlisted at UVA! now comes the awkward/painful time for those poor souls stuck in acceptance limbo. is it too early to hope that people start making final decisions soon for the sake of waitlisters?
  10. I was admitted to OSU back in late January with a fellowship. The Visitation Day for accepted students is March 22. I would assume that you have to be hearing back soon, one way or another. Sorry if that's not any help to you. :/
  11. if anyone is still waiting to hear from wisconsin-madison, you should check the online portal. it appears that they made their decisions.
  12. I was accepted to OSU and heard from a POI via email in late January. Then I recieved an official acceptance letter (with some vague information about funding and a fellowship) in early Feburary. Visitiation Day for accepted students is March 22, so I'm not sure what that means in terms of people who haven't heard anything back yet?
  13. i haven't heard back from any other schools besides osu. it's kind of freaking me out. working in a cubicle and sitting in front of a computer all day does not help my sanity because i'm able to constantly check my email.
  14. congrats! who emailed you/what did it say?
  15. Thank you! I checked the status of my application online, and then a few hours later, I got an email confirming my acceptance and nomination of a fellowship.
