Depends on what you're after I guess, plus what you're calling Philology, there tends to be a difference between the UK, Greece, Europa Propria and the US from what I've seen, not to mention the new world in general. I mean Greece has a very wide remit for philology in that its language based criticism, the UK has a division between hard line philology (historical/comp) and proper work with Greek and Latin texts e.g epigraphy, textual etc rather than just literary. Very few people here seem to deem themselves philologists. Basically you'd expect them to have the typical skills, but also some auxiliary languages and dialects too. This is why I tend to prefer the term Classicists. I also dislike the typical Oxonian "Literae Humaniores" since its kinda chauvinistic.
