University of Miami invite! Actually gave up hope for them :-o -
Love this thread! I'm going to be turning 28 when I (hopefully) start a biomedical PhD this year, and I definitely hope there are other older students in my hypothetical program. Potentially graduating at 32-33 is not something I had planned but life just kind of worked out that way. I'm going on my first interview tomorrow and am kind of worried I'll be the only person over 24. Working and living on my own for the past 3.5 years feels like a leg up on them, so hopefully my maturity will shine through throughout the process. (I even have a 403b going! That'll make you feel like an ADULT, let me tell ya) Best wishes to everyone this season and I'll make sure to keep up with this topic!

You would be wrong! Everyone's at work today where I am and we're a private university. :-/ Probably due to the hospital affiliation. Edit: unless you mean NYC specifically. Don't mind me, just bitter that I have to work while many friends are off! -

No shoes? That sounds...unsanitary. And smelly. -

That happened to me last year, ended up getting a rejection via snail mail in like June or something. Made me not want to reapply. -

This sounds right on. Plus a physical object might be considered tampering. Make sure to send gifts/cards to your letter recommenders in April though! -

I work at Jeff and know some people in the grad school; they're using a new app system which has been buggy and the deadline isn't for 2 days. I'd give them another few weeks. -

Great post, love me some graphs! -
Good topic! Some of mine from last year and this cycle. Worst: UC Denver (can't upload any transcripts? Is this the stone age?), UT Houston/UPenn (embark is awful), Jefferson (enter ALL courses manually, what a waste of time), UIC (confusing and clunky), BU (same) Best: UCSD/Sloan Kettering/UChicago/UIowa/Arizona...all well designed and trouble free. I get excited over good web design.

I'll sneak in here and say I got a University of Iowa Immunology interview! Everybody else, hang in there. I think a lot of schools are regrouping after the holiday+weather, so sit tight. -

Cool beans! They do seem really nice over there (typical Midwest?). As of yet I have no conflicts but I will keep those dates in mind. Hope you get to go in January! -

Cool, thanks for the info! I submitted mine on Dec 1st but I was missing my last LOR until Dec 23rd. :-/ Hopefully that's what's holding it up, considering the program admin emailed me yesterday to clarify something about my app. Can you say what the interview dates are? Not many people on here applied there, so no info on the results. -

Congrats! I see you applied to Iowa...mind if I ask when you submitted your app and when you heard back? I'm going for the Immunology part of the Interdisciplinary program. -
