I really considered applying to Croatia. I have family there. The number of award recipients is just too low though. I thought I stood a better chance applying to Germany. Especially since I can speak German better than I can Croatian (which is only a few words, really). Germany is still close enough that I can still go and visit them, anyway!

Yeah, I didn't really think it had any significance. It could still be months before some of us hear. *sigh*

No, I don't believe they were all sent on Fridays. I was looking at the spreadsheet from last year and I remember seeing some sent Tuesday and Wednesday.

It's kind of like, when I'm readin an exciting bit in a book and I keep thinking, "Don't read ahead, don't read ahead," and then I skip to the next paragraph to see what happens. THen I have to go back and reread the last paragraph and..yeah. Okay. that probably doesn't make an ounce of sense!

Yes, I think they should email us letting us know when they have received our transcripts. I was referring to everyone calling to confirm status.. which, obviously they wouldn't have to do if they just emailed
