There's always room for a good hallucination.....it's what keeps life interesting! So, to refresh people who forgot all about my plight....ruthlessly rejected by my dream program (ON VALENTINE'S DAY FOR GODSAKES). The only one I applied to. However, I was told that in May I could apply to take a class in the program (free) as a non-matriculated student! And also find out from the admin committee what I need to do better next time. So, let's hope that when I send the email requesting paperwork, on May 1st mind you, that it will all be true. Looking forward to attending this program, one way or another! I know the power of the good vibes from this thread, so start sending them to Brooklyn!!!!!!!

Resurrection time! I missed you all too! So sorry to have been gone sooooo long! My son was getting acceptances to colleges and it was all about helping him decide where to go! Also, traveling....it's been a whirlwind! But it's time to revive this thread! I feel it.... I feel it.... Woooooooo Hoooooooooooo!

Well dreams aren't usually good signs, they could be omens though. Good signs have to have some basis in reality. The other....honestly could be a full on hallucination. But that's not a bad thing. You are still in the running. I say whether it be a good sign, omen or hallucination, all are welcome. An acceptance could come at any moment and that my friend is a great thing. Keep us posted.

It's sooo good to hear from you. I am with you. You know as odd as it may sound, many times in the wake of great success we feel confused and overwhelmed. It is normal. It is not a bad sign. You have multiple offers and funded offers. That is amazing. I believe that your head and heart my have a bit of a rumble. Sometimes they want very different things. Some say go with head, some say with heart. I differ. I believe that the head and the heart can actually coexist and speak from a place of wisdom(head) and experience(heart) to help you make this choice. This is an awesome time for you. I so feel you! And may I say, I am so proud of you. When you squeeze an orange, you get orange juice, a lemon, lemon juice. What happens when we are squeezed, pressed, and squashed by disappointment? I love that you have chosen to believe that good things are coming. I was stomped on by my rejection, but I chose, after my tears, to not go down the path of depression. There's nothing good there...so it's a different path for us...but it's still a good one

Why assume that? It's not over until it's over. Besides there is something amazing out there for you...if not this, still something amazing. I choose to believe that. Believe with me.

It's a rough patch and rough patches are hard. Hang in there. Your are developing a tough skin, and I really believe that you will be better after having gone through this process. Believe that it will be worth it. BELIEVE!!!!!!

Take it from a person who has gone through this, been rejected and plans to start this crazy process all over again -it's worth it! Getting my Masters changed my life. I can imagine what my PhD will do! We will all be better people after we go through this!

Hang in there! Try to do something nice for yourself as you wait. Self care is so important as we go through this brutal process. Do something to make yourself smile - or laugh out loud for no reason except you're happy to be alive.
