  1. HAAALP! My videos for supplementary materials won't play.

They're MP4. Under 4GB. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm working on a mac from Safari.

update: all videos are playing, though sporadically. the Embark system this round seems very unreliable. I'm going to check one last time and press submit. Wish me luck!

At least you got that information! I didn't get that much when I called. But omg that's so late! I wonder why it's so late this year? This is going to kill me.

I spun it as "do you think we will get results before national graduate decision day (4/14)"...even tho I'm finished with grad school lol

Is Ireland also much later than usual this year? I don't know what Germany's problem is; it hasn't been this late in years. I'm at the point where "eager anticipation" is turning to "deep annoyance."

Yes, they're 2-3 weeks later than the past few years. Quite annoyed.

Yeah I just have this feeling that we won't hear from Ireland this week. The woman's tone just seemed so ... unhopeful haha.

I'm so bummed. Thanks again for calling yesterday. My birthday is a week from today so really hoping I don't get rejected that day. Please come before Wednesday, Ireland!!

So I called for Ireland and she said the same thing. "Generally goes out march to early April" (it is early April already!! Gah!)

She said "hopefully soon" but sounded kind of exasperated and I basically don't have hope of hearing today or the next few days either.

    Thanks for calling.

Do you know this for sure or is it wishful thinking? I'd love to know how you found out if it's true because I'm dying to know if there's a way to find out when Ireland will notify hahah.

**I think we're all just trying to manifest notifications at this point.

You can call if you're feeling proactive. The coordinator might be able to give more info now that pretty much every other Western European country has been notified. But she also might tell you what she told me 2 weeks ago "generally goes out late march early april".

No that ones not a degree specific award and it's the one I applied to, so I certainly hope not! But I'm already in a degree program, so that's not it.

I think that one just has * because it hasn't been offered before so they don't have previous data. I don't know if the one I applied for is suspended by Fulbright, just by the school, so I'm waiting to hear from them

That makes sense. Thanks for the further info!

I hope so! But I'm afraid Ireland applicants may be waiting a bit longer.

I applied for one of the specific degree program grants and the program has been suspended from the school's side. I heard this directly from the school and haven't heard from Fulbright on whether or not they plan to find another way to run the grant.

But since it seems the country results come out all together, part of the wait may be due to the commission having to figure out that issue.

That would certainly explain the long wait...I reaaaaalllyyyyyy hope they send something out today. I'm going to lose my marbles if I have to wait another weekend. Was it the Archival research award that was suspended? I see that award has an asterisks in place of award on the fulbright statistics page.

    Hi all,

I'm not sure if this will be any consolation or just make it worse, but as an Irish applicant to Fulbright I can tell you that we have not been notified yet either. I know last year's Irish applicants were notified on 16 March (2 days before American Fulbright applicants according to spreadsheet). Not sure if that's the standard pattern or anything but it is the only wee nugget of info I have.

    Beannacht libh go léir!

Ah best of luck to you! I am hoping today is the day.

Today will be the day. I'm going to manifest it!

Hi everyone. I am so happy I found this forum. I just spent the last hour reading through old pages. I'm a semi finalist for an archival research grant in Ireland and I'm freaking out! This wait is so long and longer than it seems it was in the past.

Im having a hard time coping. My stomach feels like it's going to explode. Some people have mentioned they knew the country commissions had already sent their notifications back to the US before people were notified. Anyone happen to know whether Ireland has?

Ireland is holding out on us!!

edit: no I have no clue if their commission has returned decisions but abdd14 and I have been freaking out too.

Has anyone gotten a hold of the Germany ETA contact person? I have called but no answer. I am also worried that calling may annoy/distract the Fulbright people.

I am exhausted from getting super anxious when 5:30 comes around then not hearing anything back.

Honestly, they are not likely to give you any substantial information if you call. It's terrible waiting but hang in there. They'll get to it.
